I grew up eating homemade popcorn that my mom would make for my brother and I on weekend movie nights and went on to make popcorn for my own kids. The first gourmet, or flavored popcorn I ever made was Snickers popcorn that we made for our local police department as an act of kindness at Christmas time, and it grew from there.
